It is rare that it takes as long for a band from being discovered to getting signed as in the case of CLICKS. However, the Polish trio has been working on its debut album "GLITCH MACHINE" for almost three years after gracing the underground with several nifty compilation tracks and remixes. "GLITCH MACHINE" was well worth the wait, though, since the three musicians, Controlled-Collapse-mastermind Kr-lik amongst them, have created an original piece full of modern vibes and minimalist nonchalance. The album is a hybrid of traditional EBM, Electroclash with reserved Vocoder vocals and a pinch of timeless club feeling. Nitzer Ebb, Daft Punk and Anthony Rother may serve to describe the stylistic path that CLICKS explore.

Three bored Poles are responsible for this electronic neck rub, all of them entertaining their individual side projects but agreeing to follow this specific direction with CLICKS: Kr-Lik (vocals, synth, programming), Tomek (synth) and Lukasz (drums).
The title "GLITCH MACHINE" is reflected within the music on the album, balancing perfection, improvisation and digital recklessness. CLICKS are indeed the ambitious, slightly tongue-in-cheek glitch within the concept of Dark Electronics, the cool systemic error. With glitches like them, the whole does not only get more exciting, but tolerable in the first place. As for that, we can say thank you to CLICKS.

It was a memorable event when MESH received standing ovations from 1.900 attendees at their sold-out concert in Gewandhaus Leipzig, Germany, in October 2015. Together with a 65-person classical orchestra, the Brits had performed under the heading "Gothic Meets Classic" and managed to convince even the most sceptical of minds. Not only were the quartet's melancholic compositions a perfect fit for the orchestral arrangements; thanks to the fantastic work of classical producer and pianist Conrad Oleak, the evening remained unforgettable amongst those in the audience. Also, Mark Hockings proved once again that he is one of the best live vocalists the scene has.

The five tracks were recorded in superb audio quality by sound engineer Jacky Lehmann (Saxon, Schiller) whereas Conrad Oleak was responsible for mix and mastering, not to forget the 5.1 surround sound of the audio DVD of the limited edition. Under his aegis, MESH also recorded three additional tracks in his studio ('There Must be A Way', 'Can You Mend Hearts', 'Before The World Ends'), using a smaller ensemble with piano, thus being able to offer us a full CD of high quality classical recordings.
Dependent does justice to this sonic opulence by releasing it on CD, limited edition 180 gram vinyl with gatefold cover and in a lush box set named "Großer Saal"-Edition. The latter includes CD, audio DVD with 5.1 mix and vinyl plus a 48-page hardcover artbook (30x30 cm), a softcover book including the sheet music and a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Hellraiser, "Comatose Delusion", "Bind, Torture, Kill", "One Nation Under God", "Cause Of Death: Suicide" … were the names of some of the many clubhits that were created by Johan Van roy, aka Suicide Commando, in the late 90ies and that managed to keep filling the dancefloors for at least a decade. The one-man Belgian Industrial project did not only spawn and influence countless of acts that did create the Hellectro-Trend in the first decade of the 21st century, it also influenced an entire generation of industrial acts. The band appeared to be dead, but the cult lived on

17 years have passed since "Shadowblack", Click Click's most "recent" studio album. In the meantime, the English duo, comprised of the brothers Adrian K. and Derek Smith, completely disappeared from view. This did not keep fans from raising high collectors' prices for the largely out-of-print back catalogue of the band, however, because Click Click have established and still represent a uniquely stark sound characterised by an organic frailty and depth, albeit produced electronically for the most part. It was only in 2010 when the brothers suddenly returned with a back catalogue album, notably titled "Lung Function", via Dependent. Furthermore, the band played a couple of live shows which proved that they are indeed still capable of giving a striking stage impression. In 2011, they followed up with the EP "Skin & Bones" featuring "Rats In My Bed", a cult song which had been unavailable for a long time.
Finally now, Click Click are going to release "Those Nervous Surgeons", their first album with new studio material in 17 years. The title used to be the name of the brothers' very first band project before they opted for the monicker Click Click. "We have come full circle", explains Derek Smith, and it is true: With respect to its instrumentation, the album sounds absolutely retro and harks back to the uniquely gloomy atmosphere as heard on old Click Click albums. Apart from solemn tracks like "Factory" or the intense "Keep Us Out Of The Way", there are faster tunes such as "Man In The Suit" and "What Do You Want" that remind to the very birth of the EBM-movement in the early and mid-eighties.
Dependent will release a regular 10 track version of the album in digipak format as well as a special edition, limited to 300 copies. This "Nervous Surgeons" box set features a bonus CD with demo versions of some album tracks and an extra goodie: Click Click singer Adrian K. Smith's first novel "The Eradication Of Hate" as an exclusive book. This utopian work addresses rampant censorship in an emerging English surveillance state, a subject also tackled in several songs on the album, for example "Drone" and "What Do You Want" as well as the title "Those Nervous Surgeons" itself.
With Click Click, one of the most original electronic underground projects is back on the scene. We are extraordinarily pleased.

Encephalon - Psychogenesis 29,99 €

One of Canada's hottest industrial acts is Encephalon from Ottawa. The project featuring Matt Gifford, Sam Mainer (programming, production) and female keyboard player Alis Keller (keyboards, visuals, multimedia) is now finally rounding up to present the much anticipated successor to their debut album "The Transhuman Condition" released by Dependent in 2011. Since then, the band has performed at various festivals in Canada and the US, fortifying their "up and coming" status with energy-bursting live shows.
Three years in the making, Encephalon's second album "Psychogenesis" possesses a far darker outlook towards the future than its optimistic counterpart "The Transhuman Condition". The new album is focusing on how the luxuries of technology could ultimately weaken the human experience, on nano-phobia, and the grim possibilities that may await those who would attempt to attain immortality at all costs. A soundscape of thunderous orchestras merging with searing electronics weave a vision of organic and mechanical lifeforms colliding as vocalist Matt Gifford's ominous yet versatile narrations let the tracks become chapters in a larger story continuing throughout the album.
A first glimpse of the new album will be the track "Illuminate", Encephalon's contribution to the much anticipated "Dependence 2015" label compilation.
Additionally the band has crafted a unique artwork concept around the nano-machine theme of the record, releasing a limited edition box version of the record with quality bonus tracks and exclusive album art postcards as collector's item besides the regular version of the album.

The serpent has escaped God's great zoo

With Kundalini Rising, something significant approaches us. "Just like a hissing cobra slowly wrenching from the shadows" - this is how the duo, comprising of band founder Mika Goedrijk and Karolus Lerocq who joined the band in 2010, describes its ninth studio album.

Working on Kundalini Rising signalled the departure for new and more varied musical and spiritual realms for This Morn' Omina. Their last album L'Unification Des Forces Opposantes was released in 2011 and marked the completion of their Nyan Trilogy which was created over the course of eight years - now it was time for new myths and new visions.

In Tantric lore, the term Kundalini - meaning serpent power in Sanskrit - describes a spiritual power inherent to each human, symbolized by a coiled snake at the base of your spine which can be awakened and incited to rise by the practice of Yoga. When this process is entirely successful, the serpent unites with the cosmic soul, thus granting man the attainment of highest bliss and enlightenment.

When you're familiar with TMO's tradition of having a guiding topic for most of their releases, e.g. the subject of reincarnation on L'Unification Des Forces Opposantes, it's not far-fetched to associate Kundalini Rising with thoughts on apocalypse and its harbingers, but at the same time with possibilities of escaping or counteracting it by the activation of individual resilience or the use of reason.

The impressively designed artbook edition contains liner notes with a detailed description of the various myths on which the tracks on Kundalini Rising are based. Here you'll find a spiritual mixture of pagan customs, the legends of the Hopi, the Celts, or the teachings of Sikhism, just to name a few examples.

Continuing with this thread of duality, you will find this concept not only in the content of said myths. The most obvious facet of the musical duality that TMO aim to present with Kundalini Rising is, of course, the fact that the new record is a double CD with two very different discs.

There's a major innovation in the fact that for the first time TMO have recorded two tracks with sung vocals. The opener Ayahuasca, a driving track suitable for clubs and not entirely coincidentally named after a psychotropic plant consumed by indigenous peoples in the context of cleansing ceremonies, is TMO's initiation ritual, guiding the listener into the realm of Kundalini Rising. The first disc brings you an ecstatic sound somewhere between Tribal Industrial, Goa, and EBM. If there was an acoustic equivalent to a flickering strobe light, you'd have to issue an epilepsy trigger warning for a track like Tir Nan Og.

While disc one is ecstatic and forceful, the second one builds up an atmosphere more easily identifiable with the subject matter of the apocalypse. The great opener of disc two, God's Zoo, seems to wind its way into your years in an ominous and, yes, serpentine manner. The sound is getting ever more dragging and abysmal, but no less powerful.

Kundalini Rising will be released on March 17th, 2017, in three different editions: as a standard double CD; as a limited, 36-page artbook edition created by designer Nico J, including a bonus CD with exclusive CCF mixes; and as a "Fire Spirit Edition" limited to 300 copies, including a set of badges, an all-weather sticker, and a patch, all in a hand-numbered packaging signed by the band.
